The East wall of the office is being formed and prepped for pour later this week.

Views of the site from the top of the engine room.  Top left shows the edge of the loading dock and the freezer, while the bottom right shows the loading dock area and the office on the far edge of the building.

Handrail and grafting are being installed at the condenser stand.

Storm line is being installed on the Northwest side of the site.

A continuous footing at the loading dock that is fully submerged by rain water.

Finally some dry weather!  East wall at equipment room looking north after the rain water has been pumped out.

Installation of the storm sewer inlet at the southwest corner of the equipment room.

Installation of piers and stem wall at the equipment room is on-going.

Electric service conduits installed as concrete workers continue to form and prep the south side of the Engine Room.

Footing K-10 is in the process of being poured.  This was one of the footings on K-line that had to be repaired due to the wood piles […]

Port of Wilmington Cold Storage Groundbreaking

Governor Pat McCrory and the North Carolina State Ports Authority, along with USA InvestCo, broke ground on a new 101,000-square-foot cold storage facility this morning. The warehouse facility is located directly on terminal at the Port of Wilmington and is expected to create more than 100 new jobs. North Carolina’s agriculture business has always relied heavily on the Port of Wilmington and this specific construction, offering over 11,000 pallet positions, represents further development in that market.
